Cook, ET2 USS Tidewater 62-65

his
photo shows two destroyers tied up alongside at D &
S Piers, Norfolk, VA in 1964. The hull numbers are clearly
visible - anyone know who they are?
After doing
some research on this, Bob Hall sent us this e-mail:
The two ships you wanted
identified are USS Hoel DDG 13, and the DDG25 which was
actually built for the Austrailian Navy in Bay City, MI.
It must have been alongside before it was released to Austrailia
and renamed HMAS Perth D-38. NOTE: Both ships were built
at the same shipyard.
