A military aviation museum with a collection of military aircraft from WWII as well as Korea. All airplanes are in fully restored operational condition and more info can be obtained at www.MilitaryAviationMuseum.org Ocean Eddie's restaurant on the beach. Great seafood and cold beer. A must for a bunch of old sailors.

REUNION 2010 PLANS

Every two years, the USS Tidewater Association hosts a reunion at a location voted upon by the membership. Here's the latest info on our planned reunion in 2010.

REUNION 2010 - The 2010 reunion is 30 September - 3 October at the Doubletree Hotel, 1900 Pavilion Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23451

Hotel rates for the reunion are $87 per night plus tax and are good for 2 days before and 2 days after the reunion. Individual reservations may be made by phone by calling the Doubletree Central Reservations line at 1-800-222-8733. When making reservations please identify yourself as a member of group Tidewater. Reservations must be made by August 15th. Reservations made after August 15 will be $129 per night.

The reunion fee of $140 per person, ($150 for non members), will include a sandwich buffet on Thursday evening, sign in day. On Friday, a tour of the Norfolk Naval Station, Nauticus National Maritime Center and a tour of the Battleship Wisconsin is scheduled lunch included.

An optional tour is available on Saturday and it will be explained in the newsletter, Saturday evening buffet will be in the hospitality room as well as a Sunday morning Farewell Breakfast Buffet.

The hospitality room will be open throughout the reunion to mingle, share sea stories and look at memorabilia. If you have any Tide memorabilia, such as pictures, cruise books and the like, be sure to bring it.
