Jack Shaffer and his ships

ere’s another photo of Jack Shaffer and his ships, one of which is a model of AD31. He served aboard the USS Tidewater as a machinist in the mid 1950s and now lives in Belle Vernon, PA with his wife Shirley. A photo of a more recent of his models of the Tide is also on display here at the AD31 Online Museum. It is a slightly larger rendition of the ship and a masterpiece of detail.
