ere’s a memory for you. When Jack Shaffer (in photo above) remembers his years in the Navy, he does it with gusto. Jack built this model of the Tidewater recently. He served aboard AD31 as a machinist in the mid 1950s and now lives in Belle Vernon, PA with his wife Shirley. Jack has built models of several ships that he served on, and has been known to bring them to a reunion with him. Perhaps you'll see him and one of his models at the next one.
