AD31 THANKSGIVING

I commend you and the others for such a great tribute
to the Tidewater and those who served.
My dad, who has passed away, had fond memories of serving
aboard the USS Tidewater. I was cleaning out some boxes
today and came across the 22 November 1951 Thanksgiving
Dinner Menu for the USS Tidewater. I'm not sure, but
this must have been after they completed the shakedown
cruise. My dad married my mom in Charleston a few weeks
later on 19 December. I've captured (took pictures)
the menu cover, the page with the cooks (my dad's name
is at the bottom "W. Shafovaloff"), and the
food items on the menu. I've attached the files. I think
it would be honoring to the USS Tidewater and its alumni
crew to post the menu on your Association website.
