MISSION
It is the mission of the USS
Tidewater AD31 Association to accomplish the following:
- Promote the finding and
collecting of Tidewater memorabilia.
- Find an appropriate location
to publicly display Tidewater memorabilia such as an existing US Navy
facility or Naval Museum or Archive facility.
- Act as an advocate for reunions,
helping with publicity and acting as a clearing house for groups wanting
to plan get-togethers for ship mates and former USS Tidewater crew and
their families.
- Publish a quality quarterly
newsletter for distribution to Association members.
- Maintain a web site to facilitate
communication on the Internet and to provide online updates about the
Association and upcoming events as well as the collection of Tidewater
memorabilia.
- Collect yearly and lifetime
membership dues to help defray costs of mailing, publishing newsletter,
and Internet Service Provider costs for UssTidewater.org domain and
web site.
- Provide a regular financial
report to all members of the status of expenses and dues collections
of the Association. Dues to be collected are $20.00 per year for yearly
memberships and $100.00 total for lifetime memberships.
