The Barracks - inside
Lockers on one side, racks on the other

nother in the series of photos sent in to us by Ron Wyatt which show what the training facilities at Great Lakes Naval Station looked like back in the early Sixties. The photo above is of the inside of the barracks where Ron and his classmates slept and studied. There was a sort of wooden picnic table in the center of each wing of the barracks where everybody gathered to compare notes. Lockers on one side, racks on the other. Muster in the morning; march to chow; march to class; march to chow again; march to the barracks. It was home.
